We operate under a NYS license, which allows us to accept children from ACS/ HRA Vouchers and Private Parents.

Little Discoverers Daycare accepts subsidy payments through state and federal programs for help with childcare expenses. This support allows parents to pursue work or education with the peace of mind that their child is in a safe, nurturing environment. You must apply to the program itself through this application, HRA FORM.pdf, or online.
How can I ensure my child’s safety at Little Discoverers Daycare?
Your child’s safety is our top priority. We conduct background checks on staff, and implement continuous safety training, including CPR and First Aid.
Does my child need to be toilet trained in order to attend your daycare?
The answer is NO. We help our families by assisting in the toilet training process
What is your policy on discipline and child guidance?
Little Discoverers Daycare employs age-appropriate discipline, using positive and gentle loving guidance to support your child’s self-image.
When necessary, children are given time away from the situation to reflect on their behavior and consider more appropriate responses with the support of their educator.
Will my child nap while in your care? And if yes, what are the sleeping conditions?
To ensure consistency between home and childcare, infants follow their own individual nap schedules, which are provided by their families. When ready, our educators will work with families to transition their infants to one nap time per day in readiness for their move to the toddler program.
Each child in our toddler and preschool programs is provided with an individual cot for their rest period of up to two hours, and they are permitted to sleep, rest, or engage in quiet activities, based on their individual needs, while ensuring that sleep patterns at home are not disrupted.
How long does it take for a 6-month-old to adjust to daycare?
Adjustment times vary, but it typically takes a few weeks for a 6-month-old to become comfortable with day care. A gradual transition, familiar routines, and consistent communication with our staff can help ease the process. Be patient as your baby settles into their new environment.

We provide various ways to keep in touch with parents, including social media (Instagram), texts, emails, and phone conversations. You will have to select the method of communication that best suits you and your family. Including a real-time update app that parents can access on their smartphones, Brightwheel.
Can I pay for hourly childcare?
Unfortunately, we do not offer hourly childcare. Due to our small class size and routine, we only accept full-time childcare. To ensure a spot at Little Discoverers Daycare, your child must be enrolled in a set schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Are meals provided in Little Discoverers Daycare, Inc., and is the food nutritious?
Nutrition is one of the cornerstone values of LDDI. Yes, we offer children nutritious meals and snacks. We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP); therefore, all meals and snacks will be provided for our children. We offer a full meal plan including breakfast, a hot lunch, and a morning and afternoon snack.
Our menu includes meals made in-house and prepared daily.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Are you open year-round?
Yes, we are open the whole year through, excluding weekends and statutory holidays.
I don’t see fees posted on your website. How much does it cost?
Our fees for private parents vary depending on the age of the child.
Weekly Rates 2025
1- Children under 18 months old = $400
2- Children 19 months old to 2 years old = $350
3- Children 3 years old to 4 years old = $325
4- Children 5 - 12 years old after school = $300
Fee late: $20 per hour
Due to our small class size and routine we only accept full-time children.
